Kanipakam Vinayaka Temple, also known as Sri Varasidhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple, is a revered Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesha, located in the village of Kanipakam in Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. Established in the early 11th century CE by the Chola king Kulothunga Chola I, the temple was later enhanced by the Vijayanagara emperors in 1336 CE.
🛕 Temple Legend
According to legend, three physically challenged brothers—one blind, one deaf, and one mute—were digging a well when their tool struck a hard object. As they dug further, blood gushed out, and miraculously, all three were cured of their disabilities. The villagers discovered a self-manifested idol of Lord Ganesha at the spot, which is believed to still reside in the well, perpetually filled with water.
